| Our
Products | Fiber Optic Cable.
With regards to connecting
our camera to a traffic control tower for
a client, by using their existing fiber
optic cable. We need the following to be
clarified:
- Provide us with the Fiber Cable Technical
information like:
•Is it a Single Mode or Multi
Mode?
[Client]
SINGLE MODE
•Number of Fiber Strands.
[Client]
There are six cores available at the proposed
location and all are being used for the
existing cameras. Same cores can be used
for your cameras for trials. If trials
successful and results satisfactory, permanent
arrangement can be done as required.
•Type of Fiber Optic Cable Jumpers
you are using.
[Client]
We are using Fiber Transmitters and Receivers
of FIBERLINK make, model: 3400-B7S &
3400-C7S.
- Do they have a professional
Engineer who can do the Fiber Fusion (Fiber
Splicing and rejoining)?
[Client]
No.
- Do you have the Fiber Fusion
Machine?
[Client]
No.
- Is this Fiber cable will only
be used for our CCTV Camera dedicated
USE?
[Client]
YES. If trials and results acceptable
to the end user, all six core fibers can
be dedicated to your cameras.
From the client's answers, We would like
to confirm that their fiber network is called
a passive network that provides dedicated
video/audio/data signal in one fiber with
encoder and decoder.
- Do you have existing cameras contacted
in the same location?your answer should
be YES
- Can you please advise your technician
to disconnect the old camera and connect
the new camera. It’s a real simple task,
disconnect the BNC connector and Data
twisted pair cable from your encoder and
connect the new camera BNC connector and
the new twisted pair data cable to the
same location.
- Once this is done, the video in the
tower will be active. We now only need
to connect the Joystic in the tower to
the same data line and start using the
joystick at the tower.
If no one cannot this job, our technicians
do this.
