How to know if
your Fiber Optic Passive Encoder is suitable
for the PTZ camera?
- You:
- should be happy to know that all
reputable manufacturers do manufacturer
the encoders with a defaulted RS485
OR
- RS232 connector as standard, thus
connectivity for the PTZ is very possible.
- Take a photo of the Encoder from the
front and the back and showing the really
small details written on the Encoder.
(if not
possible)
- Please look for an RS485 or RS232 connector
on the rear of the device near the BNC
jack for the camera.
- Once you identify the RS485 or RS232
connector, you are ready to connect the
PTZ camera to it.
- Please connect the PTZ twisted pair
wires to the RS485 or RS232 connector
at the encoder near the camera.
- Connect the Joystick twisted pair wires
to the RS485 or RS232 connector at the
encoder near the Joystick at the customer
control room.
- You should have 100% functionality of
the PTZ camera.
