Sheik Shamsan Alsohaibi was one of the leading Saudi electrical engineers during the 1940's installation and commissioning of the Taif Power Station. At this time, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, saw the birth of the first Electrical Power Station. This was the start of the electricity era in the region, consequently the beginning of many nationwide power stations and sub stations. This created the need for a whole new trade and thus the great power industry was born.
