SARtacs Capabilities
SARtacs is a UK organisation
which specialises in Maritime Search and
Rescue consultancy and training projects.
The organisation draws on expertise of a
group of experts who have gathered extensive
experience in the UK Coastguard and overseas.
It can draw on the specific knowledge and
skills of a number of associate trainers
and consultants, carefully selected for
each particular project.
The following training courses are available
for delivery in-country KSA, in Norway,
or in the UK;
SAR Admin – 5 day strategic SAR course
Search Planning – 5 or 10 day course
SAR Mission Co-ordination – 10 day
course
GMDSS Coast Station Operations – 10
day course
On Scene Co-ordinator – 5 day course
SAR Navigation and Chart work – 10
day course
Training packages can
be configured to meet your specific needs,
and it is our normal policy to have a maximum
of 15 students per course. Training in Norway
will benefit significantly through the use
of an integrated MRCC and Bridge simulator
suite.
SARtacs is able to offer knowledge and

Search and Rescue Information
System - SARIS
Through an existing formal agreement,
SARtacs acts as a marketing and sales
Agent for the Search Planning Software
System, SARIS which has been developed
in the UK and is in use by some 30 SAR
organisations worldwide.
The software can be configured either
in the stand-alone PC configuration, or
in a multi-user network configuration
depending upon your exact needs.
